As an acupuncture physician and as a licensed massage therapist, Dr. Beth Stephenson has served Volusia County as a healing arts professional for over 20 years. Dr. Beth is committed to the practice of integrative medicine, where east meets west and where the signs and symptoms of the body are viewed as dis-eases that are capable of healing with the appropriate nourishment and support. Three days a week are dedicated to working at the Wellness Center with a western MD (rheumatologist) and physical therapist in a complementary style of practice.Natural health care (such as acupuncture, herbal medicine and massage therapy) honors and cultivates the patient’s natural healing process. The body is designed to heal itself, and every symptom is the body’s way of telling you that it needs some sort of change in order to reestablish homeostasis or balance. Although each healing process is unique, it is important to remember that the body is actually designed to regenerate its tissues automatically. Dr. Beth is committed to helping your body begin to heal itself naturally. Using acupuncture, massage, dietary recommendations and herbal remedies, Dr. Beth will prepare a one-of-a-kind treatment plan for your specific needs.
