The City of Daytona Beach proudly presents the second annual “Midtown Barbecue Championship” at Cypress Park at Midtown, 925 George W. Engram Blvd., Daytona Beach Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 5PM to 7PM!
Event Details
Finger-licking BBQ will be the order of the day in this barbecue championship event. This FREE event will have backyard grillers, professional grillers and sauce makers competing for a chance to win prizes for Best Ribs, Best Chicken, Best Wings and Best BBQ Sauce. The BBQ Sauce competition is open to everyone and the Ribs, Chicken and Wings’ contests are open to vendors only.
Celebrity chef judges will be on-site to evaluate the BBQ entries and will award first, second and third place prize money. First overall will receive $250, second overall will receive $150 and third overall will receive $100.
Entrance fees for this event are as follows: Backyard Grillers - $25; Professional Grillers - $50; Sauce Contest - $10. Contestants can register online at: www.codb.us/activities or contact Cultural & Leisure Services for vendor applications at (386) 671-8256.
This event will be held on Floyd Miles Day – hosted by LA Robinson and Reuben Morgan. Come out and enjoy some of the sights and sounds, and stay for Midtown Motown starting at 7PM featuring the Memphis Motown Experience.
