The 70th Annual Volusia County Cattlemen’s Association Cracker Day. Saturday, April 27 starting at 10 am. With each paid admission enjoy BBQ prepared by your very own Volusia County cattlemen and cattlewomen. We are located next to the Volusia County Fairgrounds in Deland at SR 44 and I-4. The rodeo has all of your favorite events including bull riding, barrel racing, and team roping plus a greased big chase and boot scramble for the kids. Come out for family fun as we celebrate the beef industry!
Admission prices for 2019 include lunch and free parking!
Adults 13+ $20
Kids 6-12 $10
Kids 5 and under free
The event is called "Cracker Day" in recognition of the original cowboys of Florida who were commonly called "crackers." This term came to be from the cracking sound produced by their whips. Cowboys had to use whips to drive cattle through the thick brush that blanketed the state.
