Join us for the 4th Annual Shark Bite Half Marathon & 5k. Sunday, January 20th (7:30am Half Marathon start; 7:40am 5K start)
Event Details
**New This Year** Shark Bite EXPO Experience on Saturday, January 19th at the Brannon Center, 105 S Riverside Dr, New Smyrna Beach 32168. This is an Early Packet Pickup option for participants, from 1-6pm. Event Partners and Sponsors will be at the expo! The EXPO is Free and Open to the community.

Marine Discovery Center will have an interactive booth for all ages to learn more about FL's Coastal and Indian River Lagoon ecosystems.
Bring your family & friends to experience the Shark Bite Expo and grab your race packet early to avoid the race-day line.
Our Mission: To make the Shark Bite Half Marathon one of the premier half marathons in the state of Florida. Yes, that is the whole state, not just New Smyrna Beach, not just Volusia County. We are striving to bring the best overall race experience; super soft race t-shirt, the best Finisher medals around, awesome awards, Top 10% Finisher Hats in half (only half marathon in Florida to do this), and much much more.
NSB is known for many things: Orlando's Beach, Pro Surfers, Spring Break but nothing is as well known as its distinction of the SHARK BITE CAPITAL of the WORLD. Not to worry, we aren't making you swim (although it isn't a bad option to cool off after the event).
The race starts and finishes at the beautiful Flagler Ave Boardwalk where you can view a stunning sunrise before exploring the rest of the route. The course offers the best that NSB has to offer with breathtaking views throughout. Crossing both causeways (bridges) giving wonderful views of the intracoastal waterway and ocean, and then meandering through both of NSB's historic downtown districts: Flagler Ave and Canal St.
This is a certified road race, not a beach run.
