Description
Improvements and additions were made to this four-acre park from 2009 - 2011 through a Community Development Block Grant. Changes include refurbished tennis/basketball courts, a new 3,600-square-foot pavilion, new racquetball courts, and a new skate park. The skating area is also bike friendly. Located on the southeast corner of the site is the historical Heritage House, an original shotgun style home that is an extension of the Mary S. Harrell Black Heritage Museum across the street. This park includes two lighted tennis courts, two basketball courts, a multi-purpose field, playground, a pavilion and restrooms. Open daily from sunrise to sunset.
