Event Details
Christmas-themed attire is encouraged and a costume contest will be held after the race! All finishers will receive a medal, a swag bag and refreshments will be provided by Chik-fil-a and Krispy Kreme! Everyone who preregisters will also receive a T-Shirt. Plus prizes for the top 3 finishers in each age bracket. So grab your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors or classmates and run/walk while spreading Christmas cheer and raising money to fund local adoptions!
The event is a memorial fundraiser to continue the work of the late Chuck Strasser. Chuck was a much-loved member of the Daytona Beach-area community who passed away Jan. 1, 2015, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was a dedicated husband, father, businessman and friend to all, whose contagious smile and habit of sacrificing his time and money for those in need made him an example and mentor to all.
Chuck’s wife, Gina, and daughters Faith and Destiny are leading the effort to keep his work going with the 5K. With the help of Tomoka Christian Church and Runner's High Timing and Race Management, the Strassers hope to leave a lasting legacy honoring Chuck’s vision to help children not just in Volusia County but all over the world. Please join them in partnership. Funds raised will support local adoptions including efforts to place orphans in adoptive homes. This Christmas give a child a forever home!
Packet Pickup
Packet Pickup will be held at Tomoka Christian Church from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 29th.
