Description
Tomoka State Park is an 1800acre Florida State Park located along the Tomoka River, three miles (5 km) north of Ormond Beach on North Beach Street. Within the park is the site of the Timucuan village of Nocoroco, located on the Tomoka River. The site was inhabited approximately a thousand years ago. It became a state park in 1945. On May 7, 1973, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
