Port Orange, Florida is located on the Halifax River just south of Daytona Beach off of the I-95 Interstate. This community is over a century old and is home to some of the nicest restaurants and shops on Florida's east coast. Very close to the Atlantic beaches, Port Orange is also close to many other attractions in the area. The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse is near the city line and is a great reminder of Florida's maritime past. Port Orange is only a few minutes south of Daytona Beach often, outdoor functions are combined between the two cities creating one spectacular event. Several great restaurants line their downtown area as well as posh spas and hoping clubs. This town is also a favorite place to stay when people visit the area for Spring Break and Bike Week. There are many Bike Week events in the area and Bikers are welcomed with open arms. Port Orange is full of outdoor recreation, especially if you enjoy water sports. With its location on the Halifax River and so near to the Atlantic Ocean, you can enjoy a variety of swimming, fishing and boating trips. Other activities in the area are parasailing and surfing. Don't forget to indulge in some super fresh seafood; Port Orange has some of the finest and freshest seafood restaurants in the area.
